As we align our hearts to Be Love (see the other section if you haven't yet), this positions our lives to be people who Give Love.
Jesus calls us to go into the world, being people who love God, love ourselves, love our neighbors and the world. As we encounter Jesus, we become people who are called to touch the untouchable and become healers in the world around us, just like Jesus.
Then He will answer them, saying, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." Matthew 25:45
Jesus not only takes the side of the poor and the least; he puts himself in their place. In the very alarming parable of the sheep and the goats he speaks of salvation as depending on how we treat the poorest and the most afflicted.
